CFB Borden- Friday, 27 MAY 16

Several of our Non-Commissioned Members were invited this past week to participate in the Change of Training Centre Chief Warrant Officer Ceremony for the Canadian Forces Health Services Training Centre at CFB Borden.

These Cadets were part of the VIP Crew, helping the Medical School to greet and seat the many visitors who came to witness the departure of one Chief Warrant Officer and the arrival of a new Training Centre Chief.

Our members were invited based on their exemplary Drill, Dress & Deportment, as selected by the Commanding Officer of 329 CFHSTC Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps and the Commandant of CFHSTC at Borden. These fine young men and young woman represented our Corps with the highest level of decorum and professionalism. Be sure to congratulate and thank them for continuing to help make our Unit look great and to building a stronger "family" relationship with our Affiliated Unit, CFHSTC.

Great job guys... Bravo Zulu!

Appoints a

New Regimental Sergeant Major!

329 CFHSTC RCACC, St Thomas Aquinas CSS- Thursday, 28 April 2016- Tottenham ON

We at 329 would like to congratulate MWO Mackenzie Shambrook on his appointment to Regimental Sergeant Major.

We would like to thank MWO (Ret'd) Andrew Compton for his dedicated service to the Corps. Mr Compton joined the Corps in September of 2009 shortly after his Twelfth Birthday. By his own initiative, intelligence and commitment to the team, he rose through the ranks to his former appointment as Unit RSM in the 2013 Training Year.

Mr Compton graduated from St Michael Catholic Secondary School in Bolton, Ontario in June of 2015. He is currently working and will begin his Police Foundations studies at Humber College in September of 2016.

Mr Compton, we all wish you the very best in all of your future endeavours... Please remember that you are always a comrade and the door is always open... We will miss you!

Master Warrant Officer Mackenzie Shambrook joined 329 CFHSTC RCACC in September, 2011. He has demonstrated remarkable passion for his Corps and has time and again proven his commitment to the betterment of the Unit and it's overall esprit-de-corps. When a job needs to be done, from the simple to the complex, MWO Shambrook has always been there to do it.

A winner of numerous awards and presitigious selective activities both at the Unit level to the National (including being chosen to attend Maple Leaf Exchange to the United Kingdom this Summer), MWO Shambrook has been recognised for his strong contributions to the Canadian Cadet Movement.

MWO Shambrook currently attends St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School and plans to attend the Royal Military College of Canada to pursue a career as an Infantry Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.

We wish you the best of luck and our support as you take over this very important role, MWO Shambrook!

The 329 CFHSTC RCACC is a Royal Canadian Army Cadet unit located in Tottenham, Ontario.  The Royal Canadian Army Cadets is a national organisation for youth aged 12 to 18. There are more than 25,000 Army Cadets, in more than 450 Army Cadets Corps across Canada.

Our members form up once a week, between 1845 and 2130, September through June, on Thursday nights to learn citizenship, leadership, drill, effective speaking, outdoor survival, range and more. In addition to training nights, corps may have other optional nights of the week dedicated to sports, drill, range, biathlon or other additional training. During select weekends during the year, many corps engage in outdoor bush exercises, competitions or a variety of other trips. We currently train at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School (and occasionally at Branch #329 Royal Canadian Legion) in Tottenham, Ontario.

During the summer, Cadets have the opportunity to go to a variety of Summer Training Centres. These courses range from 2 to 7 week courses and include basic training, introductory and advanced courses to leadership and instruction, drill and ceremonial, outdoor and sports training, and the Canadian Forces Basic Parachutist Course.    To Learn more about 329 CFHSTC RCACC or to become a member please click the  JOIN NOW link on the left or visit our Contact Page to request more information.
